Mrs. Mae Hostick, 84, of Glen Ellyn, formerly of Springfield, died at noon Saturday at Sandalwood Health Care Center in Wheaton. She was born July 28, 1905, in Athens, the daughter of Edward and Myrtle Bennett Denning. She married Clarence Hostick Sr. in 1924, and he preceded her in death in 1981. Also preceding her in death were one son, Clarence Hostick Jr., and three sisters, Ruby, Fern and Irma.
A resident of Springfield since 1914, Mrs. Hostick was a member of St. Cabrini Church, Altar and Rosary Society and Blue Army.
Surviving are one son, Robert Hostick of Glen Ellyn; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Edna Zsiga of Willowick, Ohio, and Mrs. Betty Dutton of Washington; one brother, Edward Denning of Paris; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass at St. Cabrini Church. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.
