Mary was born July 13, 1932 in Redland, OK. Her family moved to Ridgecrest, CA when Mary was a teenager. She graduated from Burroughs High School in California.
Mary met Wayne Martin while working in Torrance, CA after he was honorably discharged from the Navy. Three months later she married Wayne, the love of her life, and they were married for 65 years. They moved to Missoula after the birth of their first child. Mary worked at St. Patrick Hospital in Missoula as a candy striper for a few years. She went to nursing school and worked several years as a licensed vocational nurse before retiring.
Mary and Wayne had 6 children. They were active in their children's school activities and PTA. They both retired to the Sunburst area about 20 years ago. Mary was a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Survivors include her 2 daughters, a son, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Wayne Martin; daughter, Signe Gaye Martin and Sandra Kay Garcia; son, Keith Wayne Martin; granddaughter, Crystal Raye Hunt; and grandson, Joseph "Joey" Wayne Hunt; her father, George Warren; mother, Willie Warren; siblings, Lena Fortline, Sammie Polley, Norma Fortune, Homer Warren, Francis Warren, and Cleve Warren.
