On November 9, 2020, Vera Jean Crady got her wings and went home to walk with the angles. She was 90 years young.

Vera was born in St. Louis, MO, to Vera and Edwin Burroughs. Vera was the oldest of six girls and one boy. She finished grade school before having to stay at home and care for her family.

Vera went out on a date and married the man of her dreams on June 19, 1949. Vera and Daniel had one son (1959) and adopted three other children in 1966 to make their lives complete.

Vera was a stay at home mom but did many community programs with children, Den Mother for Cub Scouts, Sunday school teacher, Back in the day Block Parent, and 4H instructor. Vera enjoyed children.

Vera has an unwavering faith in God. She was a faithful member of the Stoddard Methodist Church until 1972, then moved to La Crosse and joined a Lutheran congregation.

In 2003 Vera moved into Lakeview Nursing Home and attended services.

Vera is survived by her sisters, brother, daughters, son, nieces, nephews grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceeded in death by her parents, husband, nephew, sister, son, and great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held at 11 am, on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at the Oak Grove Cemetery.

The Jandt-Fredrickson Funeral Home and Crematory, Woodruff Chapel, La Crosse is assisting the family.
