Lifelong Rockdale resident Bertha Jackson, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2007 at Richards Memorial Hospital in Rockdale. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept 22, at Pecan Street Church of Christ in Rockdale with Minister John Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Old Oak Lawn Cemetery in Rockdale.
Mrs. Jackson was born July 9, 1928 in Rockdale to Bob and Nettie Roberson Sr. She married Elmo Jackson.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, James Robert Mack; daughter, Johnnie Louise Mack Baker; great-granddaughter, Desiree Robinson; two sisters, Lily Mae McGee and Sible Enge; brother, Lucine Roberson.
Survivors include two sons, Odis Mack and wife Felicia of Katy and Relious Baker and wife Lanell of Rockdale; two daughters, Bertha Goodwin and husband Clarence of Oklahoma City, OK and Mia Denise Robinson of Rockdale; two brothers, James Thomason of Oklahoma, OK and Bob Roberson Jr. of Houston; two sisters, Bobbie Davis of Rockdale and Nettie B. Patterson of Temple; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
