A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Holy Family Chapel, 4040 York Street, Wichita Falls, TX.
Chester was born August 23, 1940 in Altoona, PA to Robert and Catherine (Bowers) Hand. He worked at Perfection High Test in Purcell, OK until the early 90s. He moved to Wichita Falls in 1997, and became the Head Custodian for Rolling Meadows before his retirement.
In his early years he enjoyed photography and was an avid fisherman. He was also a model train enthusiast.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Chester Hand Jr; and a daughter Rhonda Henderson.
Chester is survived by his wife, Sylvia of Wichita Falls; son James R. Hand and wife Jacki of McKinney, TX; step sons William Everett Jr and wife Kathy, Michael Everett Sr, and James Everett, all of Wichita Falls; step daughters Loretta Everett of Tennessee; Linda Espinosa and husband Rick, Kimberly Walker and husband David all of Colorado Springs, CO. He had 5 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
