Martin Wayne Hoselton

Martin Wayne Hoselton was born to Gordon K. and Georgie (Turner) Hoselton in El Reno on Jan. 5, 1961. He attended El Reno Public Schools, graduating from El Reno High School in May 1979.

Martin worked at Champlain’s Gas Station for his parents while growing up, and Page Air Field, Acme Brick Company, Johnson’s Oil Company and National Oil Supply before he married Barbara Ann Buxton on Jan. 30, 1982.

After his marriage he worked at Weatherford International, Blowout Tools, Wildcat Oil Tools and Yellowjacket.

He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Boy Scouts of America, Sons of the American Legion, El Reno Grascar Associations, and served on the El Reno Park and Recreation Board.

Martin is survived by his wife, Barbara A. Hoselton of the home in El Reno; children, Jessica R. Cowan of El Reno, Gordon R. “Bud” Hoselton and wife, Jamie of El Reno and Robin R. Reed and husband, Chris of Tuttle; grandchildren, Hunter W. Holcomb, Colton J. Holcomb and Cooper A. Holcomb, all of El Reno; Jaysie M. Hoselton and Gordon “Luke” Hoselton of El Reno; and Bentin D. Reed, Anakin J. Reed and Westin K. Reed, all of Tuttle; his mother, Georgie Hoselton of El Reno; and siblings, Gordon C. “Sonny” Hoselton, Susan Harvey and James Sherek, all of El Reno; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon K. Hoselton; sister, Beth Sherek; sister-in-law, Rhonda Hoselton; and grandparents, Gordon L. Hoselton, Mary Hassel and Chesley and Viola Turner.

Martin loved being with his wife, children, grandchildren and parents. Family and traditions were very important. He enjoyed watching his children’s and grandchildren’s activities and spending time with them, grilling and smoking everyone out in the backyard, and building items for the kids and grandkids.

He also enjoyed owning Red Oxide Racing Team, family gatherings, riding motorcycles, RZR, boating and sitting on his back porch.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Crossbridge Nazarene Church with his cousins, David Turner and Barbara Turner officiating. Burial will follow at the Niles Cemetery under the direction of Huber-Benson Funeral Home.

Memorials in Martin’s name may be made to El Reno Boy Scouts or Lupus Foundation.
