Gordon went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 16, 2018, with his family beside him. He was born Aug. 31, 1933, in Niles, Okla., to Gordon L. and Mary (Loring) Hoselton. Gordon moved to California at an early age and attended Fresno Schools through the eighth grade. He did odd jobs as any young person did during that era. He joined the Navy at a young age with help from his aunt. He served during the Korean Conflict on USS Southerland DDR743. During that time, he was in eight sea battles receiving eight Sea Battle Stars.

He fell in love with Georgie Lee Turner from Chickasha, and they had their first date in El Reno. They were united in marriage on April 20, 1954, in Reno, Nev. They spent 63 blessed years.

Upon his discharge from the Navy, he brought his bride back to Oklahoma, making their home in El Reno. He worked for Stevensonย’s IGA and had a part in designing and building Snap-E-Sak before he owned Gordonย’s Champlin for 18 years. After closing the station in the 1980s, he worked in the oil field for different oil field companies before retiring. Georgie was always beside him, she was never far away.

Gordon enjoyed fishing, traveling, woodwork and blacksmithing. He had a blacksmith shop built in his backyard. He loved teaching his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren about many things. He would sit on the porch and sing to them and/or tell stories. He loved teaching them about the Bible and sharing his knowledge. You never knew what he would do next.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Gordon L. Hoselton and Mary Hoselton Hassell, and daughter-in-law, Rhonda L. Hoselton.

He is survived by his loving wife, Georgie L. Hoselton of the home; children, Gordon C. ย“Sonnyย” Hoselton, Martin Hoselton and wife, Barbara, and Beth Sherek and husband, James, all of El Reno; grandchildren, Jennifer Hoselton, Jodi Ramsey and husband, Casey, Jessica Cowan, Gordon R. ย“Budย” Hoselton and wife, Jamie, all of El Reno, Chesley McPherson and husband, Lane of Yukon, Robin Reed and husband, Chris of Tuttle and Georgie Sherek of Stillwater; great-grandchildren including Caleb Ramsey, Hunter Holcomb, Julia Hoselton (Owens), Jett Ramsey, Colton Holcomb, Joleen Owens, Cooper Holcomb, Jaysie Hoselton and Gordon ย“Lukeย” Hoselton, all of El Reno and Bentin Reed of Tuttle; sister, LaWanda Munns of Fresno, Calif.; and many special family and friends.
