of Liverpool, was reunited with her loving husband of 56 years on September 28, 2007, with her loving family by her side. Marie was born April 8, 1921, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Barry Albright. She was raised in Utica with her parents; her brothers, John and Robert; and her sister, Lorine. Marie graduated from St. Francis DeSales High School and in 1944 was joined in marriage with Donald D. Adams in Alexandria, Louisiana. Marie and Don returned to Utica, where they raised their six children, Donald Jr. of Minnehaha, John and Barb of Woodgate, Eileen and Dan Benzo of Sauquoit, Richard and Sharon of Ilion, Susan and Richard Carr of Whitesboro and Linda and Russ Feltus of Liverpool, with whom she resided. Marie was blessed with and cherished by her 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren: Donald III and Lianne, Julia, Janey and Jack Adams, Scott and Cheryl and Cassi Adams, Kyle Adams and Shelley Majka, Jodi-Marie and Dana Benzo, Richard and Kristin, Caitlin and Brandon Adams, Erin, Alexandria and Karleigh Beighley, Matthew and Andrew Carr, Jennifer and Kyle Brown, Ryann and Erik and Ashton Zeiner and Megan Feltus. Marie also leaves her brother, Robert, and sister-in-law, Kay Albright, and several nieces, nephews and friends to cherish her memory. Marie was predeceased by her loving husband, Donald, in June of 2000; her brother, John; and sister, Lorine Lennon. While living in the Utica area, Marie was an active member of the Blessed Sacrament School Mothers' Club and Altar Rosary Society. She was also a member of St. John the Evangelist Church and Our Lady of the Rosary Church in New Hartford; most recently, Marie was a member of St. John's Church of Clay. Marie's children were very fortunate to have a stay-at-home mom. She was not only there for her six children but was always the helping hand to elderly family members and neighbors. Her home was the gathering place for the children of the neighborhood and a place they visited even in adulthood. Her senior years were spent following after the interests of her grandchildren from football, soccer and baseball games to dance recitals, plays and concert. She introduced her family to the Adirondacks and as recently as this past July, vacationed there with her family. Her great-grandchildren were her current passion, and she was fortunate enough to have them all living close enough to spend loving time together. Funeral services will be 11:15 a.m. Monday from Nunn & McGrath Funeral Directors, 470 French Rd., Utica, and noon from the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated.
