NEGLEY — Rose Marie Young, 61, of Fredericktown-Clarkson Road, died at 5:33 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2007, at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 20, 1946, a daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Fulton, she lived most of her life in this area.
A homemaker, she was a Catholic by faith and enjoyed raising Boston Terriers.
She is survived at home by her husband of 41 years, Clinton F. Young, Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Diana "DeeDee" Channels and her husband, Ken, of Calcutta; and a son, Clinton F. Young, Jr., and his wife, Kathy, of Lisbon.
There are five grandchildren, D.J. Hawk and Dustin Channels, who referred to her as Mamall, and Rebecca Young, Michael Young and Mikayla Young, who referred to her as Honey.
She was a caregiver to Everett Halstead, who survives at home.
Survivors also include two sisters, Betty J. Rodenbeck of Pittsburgh and Christina Frye of West Moreland; and a brother, John Fulton, of Avonmore, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Chase Elliott Young, who died in 1994; her grandmother, Rose Brank, who raised her; a sister, Jenny Leonard; and a brother, William Earl Fulton.
The Rev. Lester Hickman of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church is to conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2007, at the Dawson Funeral Home, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial is to be in Riverview Cemetery.
