Isaac married Annie Gertrude Belle COX on 16 Aug 1902 in Pritchett TX. They had eight children: Maude Lema, Granville Harold, Haskell Lee, Hollis Lawrence (Hollie), Nina Christine, Jessie Mae, Dee Madeline & Charles Leonard PANKEY.

Funeral services for I.L. Pankey, 72, of 118 Bancroft Street, West Monroe, who died Thursday afternoon in St. Francis Sanitarium, were held Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Trinity Baptist Church, West Monroe, with Rev. H.J. Mott, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. Brown. Interment was in Hasley Cemetery.
Mr. Pankey is survived by four sons, Granville, Haskell, Hollie and Leonard, all of West Monroe; three daughters, Mrs. E.L. May, Mrs. Curtis Shell, and Mrs. C.G. Stone all of West Monroe; four brothers, Dr. Joe Pankey, Ferriday, Tom Pankey, Epps, Sam Pankey, Emmett, Ark., and Jim Pankey of Chatham; three sisters, Mrs. J.W. Murphy and Mrs. Walter Jones of Monroe and Mrs. Steve Waldrop of Chatham; and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were J.L. Black, T.T. Phillips, W.L. Anders, Harvey May, W.E. Fordham, and Fred Stone.
