Prof. O. F. Revercomb, of north of town, and Miss Alice Mefford, of near Lakenan, stole a march on their relatives and friends last Saturday by being united in marriage at the home of the officiating minister, Rev. C. E. Wagoner, at Shelbyville.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. S. Mefford, and is a charming young lady.
The groom is one of our most promising young school teachers, he has charge of the Union Chapel school this year.

Monroe City, Mo., March 23.
Mrs. Alice Ellen Webber, 82, of Hunnewell died Wednesday morning at 11:45 in the Monroe City nursing home.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3 in the Garner Funeral Home here with the Rev. J. L. Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Godfrey Cemetery at Hunnewell.

Services will be held in the funeral home tonight at 8 by Gilead Chapter 149, O.E.S., of Hunnewell, of which she was a member.
Mrs. Webber was born at Lakenan, May 24, 1884, a daughter of William S. and Abbie "Webber" Mefford. She attended Shelby county schools and Kirksville State Teachers College. She taught school in Shelby and Boone counties. She was also correspondent for the Shelbina Democrat and The Herald-Whig for several years.
She was a member of the Methodist church and the Rebekah Lodge. She was married May 24, 1924, to Henry Webber. He died in October, 1955.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Edith Griffin of Hunnewell and Mrs. Cora L. Sheets of Kansas City, and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Webber was the daughter of William Spotswood and Abbie Frances "Webber" Mefford.
She was first married to Otha Revercomb, 17 Sep 1904 in Shelbyville, Shelby County, Missouri, later marrying Henry Webber in 1924 in Adams County, Illinois. Henry had two children from a previous marriage.
