Mr. Kealon Doyle Hightower, of San Augustine County, Texas, passed away at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas.
Kealon was born to parents Jackie Doyle and Shirley Lee (Jones) Hightower and had been a lifelong area resident. He had retired Aug. 31, 2020, as San Augustine County maintenance supervisor for Texas Department of Transportation. Kealon had worked for TxDOT for 15 years and had previously worked for San Augustine County Road & Bridge for over 20 years, elected as Precinct 3 Commissioner in 2000.
With an outstanding testimony as a Christian man, he was most recently a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was kind hearted and always helpful to anyone. Kealon was a fabulous father and grandfather who loved spending time with his family. Outdoor activity was a great passion for Kealon, who had a wonderful love for hunting and fishing.
His survivors include his wife, Debra K. Hightower; a son, Steve Saenz Jr. and wife Alisa; daughters, Carmen Brown and Leatha Saenz; his mother, Shirley Lee Hightower; brothers, Ralph Hightower and wife Tessie Mae, and Micah Hightower and wife Melody; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jackie Doyle Hightower.
