The Death of Richard Frazier --
Another Honored Citizen Gone to His Reward --
Departed this life, at his residence, east of Frankfort, on Sunday, May 29, Hon. Richard Frazier, aged about 79 years. For some time it was observed by those who knew him that Mr. Frazier was failing rapidly. A few weeks ago word went out that he was stricken down, and the probability was he would never get well. A native of Ohio, he emigrated to Clinton county among the first, and bought the tract of land upon which he has since lived. For twenty-two years he has served with honor and fidelity the people of Clinton as County Commissioner. In the discharge of his duties to the people brought an inflexible integrity, a sound judgement, and a spirit of true economy. He leaves behind him five children, all well settled in life. The funeral was held yesterday at the late residence of the deceased, and the interment was in the Layton cemetery.
