She married Joseph Gaskill Holliday 29 Sep 1870. They had five sons, Charles, Clyde, Karl, Ross, and Ernest. Charles and Clyde both died in 1877, at ages 5 and 3. They divorced in Clinton County, Indiana in 1884.
Julia's second husband was Benjamin Franklin Palmer, who had six children by his first wife, Mary Catharine Crose. The children were Violet, Victor, Vallee, Fred, John, and Daisy. Daisy had died in 1885. Mary died in 1886. B.F. and Julia married 11 Sep 1887 in Clinton County, Indiana. They had three children - Jerry (who died as a newborn), June, and Frank.
Julia's mother, Mary Ann (York) Frazier, fell and broke her leg in 1892 and thereafter was confined to her bed or her "rolling chair." Julia cared for her in Frankfort until Mary Ann's death in 1906.
Julia's husband, B.F. died in Pulaski County, Illinois, in 1898 and was buried in Rose Hill Cemetery there. At that time, Julia was in Indiana caring for her mother. A photo was taken of the headstone and sent to her so she could see the grave.
Julia died in 1923.
