Clara was born in Douglas Township, Sac County, Iowa. She was the daughter of James and Annie Moore Kelley. Clara died in Glenwood, Pope County, Minnesota and was buried beside her parents. She did not marry.

Boomgaarden officiated. Miss Kelly was a former resident of the community. A funeral service for Miss Kelly had been held at Glenwood the previous day. Pallbearers, all nephews from this area, were Walter Dierenfield, Ronnie Dierenfield, Fred Krueger, Enos Ahart, Larry Huntley and Harold Gustafson.
Miss Kelly is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Joe Ahart, Storm Lake, and Mrs. Amy Drury, Benson, Minn., and a brother Joe Kelly, at Glenwood, Minn.
