Curtis Elder, 79, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, September 8, 2018 at his home. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marjorie Lou Elder. Curtis was born in Rockcastle County, KY on July 3, 1939 to the late Ezra and Elvira Davis Elder.
Curtis was the head of maintenance at Midway College in Versailles where he retired.
Surviving are four children: Sandra Florian (John) of Lancaster, James Elder(Angel), Melinda Bargo(Bill), and Anthony Elder, all of Versailles, a sister, Linda Burton(Paul) of Mt. Vernon; fourteen grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
Along with his wife, Curtis was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Ray Elder, three brothers, Vernon, Paul, and Robert Elder, and two sisters, Dorthy Liddle and Betty Jo Richardson.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Spurlin Funeral Home with Bro. Brad King officiating.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens in Frankfort, Kentucky.
Visitaiton will be from 12:00 PM until service time Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
Pallbearers will be James Elder, Kevin Elder, James Robert Elder, Jonathan Florian, William Bargo, and Curtis Elder.
Honorary pallbearers will be Martin Milton, Lee Smith, and Cory Hurst.
