Mr. Robert Lee Elder age 80 of Loveland, Ohio departed this life on Wednesday, February 03, 2016 in the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery, Ohio. He was the husband of Hazel "Pat" (Stewart) Elder. He was born on June 8, 1935 in Rockcastle Co., KY and was the son of Ez Elder and Elveria Thompson Elder.

Mr. Elder had been a pipefitter at Proctor and Gamble and was a member of the Church of Christ and also served in the National Guard. He enjoyed working on cars, going to flea markets and loved to play jokes on everybody.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Ez and Elveria Elder and an aunt who raised him as her son, Vernie Lewis, a son in law Elbert Mills, one brother, Paul Elder and two sisters, Roberta Elder and Dorothy Liddle.

Survivors include his loving wife, Pat Elder of Loveland, Ohio and his two daughters, Cheryl Ann Hicks of Loveland, Ohio and Cathy Mills of Barbourville, three brothers, Vernon Elder of Cincinnati, Ohio, Curtis Ray Elder of Midtown, KY and Carl Lewis and wife Nancy of Broadhead, KY, one sister, Linda Burton and husband Paul of Mt. Vernon, KY, two grandchildren, Willie Mills of Barbourville and Bert Mills and wife Brittany of London, KY, two great grandchildren, Alianna Catherine Mills and Brayden Mills also of London, KY, his sisters in law, Sue Smith and Ada Stewart both of Barbourville and Doris Patterson and Connie Simmons both of Indiana. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and beloved nieces and nephews to mourn his passing.

Funeral services for Mr. Elder will be conducted in the Hampton Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Pallbearers will be nephews of Mr. Elder. He will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery. Hampton Funeral Home will be in charge of all arrangements.

Visitation will be on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m.
