The body of Mrs. Amy Weddle Geddes, former Pittsboro resident, was interred
in the Lizton K. of P. Cemetery, Tuesday, following services from the
Shirley Brothers Drexel Chapel, Indianapolis. The Rev. Huff of the Lizton
Christian Church and Elder Sherman Essex of the Pittsboro Baptist Church
conducted the service.
She died Saturday in the Community Hospital, Indianapolis, where she was
taken following a fall and suffering a fractured hip.
She was a retired registered nurse and had made her home with a sister, Mrs.
William Fergason, and husband in Indianapolis for many years. She was the
daughter of the late Oscar and Cynthia Dinsmore Weddle.
Survivors include a stepson, Trevor Geddes of Oakland, Calif., and several
nieces and nephews.
