Pittsboro: Carl Weddle, who was born and grew to manhood in this community,
died, Sunday, at his home in Indianapolis, from heart trouble, following an
illness of two weeks. He was 52 years of age. He had been a painting
contractor in Indianapolis for the past twenty-five years. Surviving are the
widow, Mrs. Ethel Weddle, four sons, Julian, Byron and Glen, all of
Indianapolis; James, of Camp Phillips, Salina, Kansas; four sisters, Mrs.
Amy Geddes of Pittsboro, Mrs. Vada Cook of California, Mrs. Rachel Bowman
and Miss Elizabeth Weddle of Indianapolis; the mother, Mrs. Clarinda
Dinsmore Weddle of Pittsboro, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were
held Wednesday afternoon at the Pittsboro Baptist church in charge of Elder
Williams. Burial was in the Lizton cemetery.
