James McCosar, Jr. passed from this life Thursday, October 22, 2020. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs, Oklahoma.

James McCosar, Jr. was born March 18, 1942, to James McCosar, Sr. and Vivian (McCombs) McCosar. After finishing his schooling, James started his life long career as a painting contractor. He was able to own his own business and it was a successful one.

He was married to Wilma Rogers and together thy enjoyed a beautiful marriage before her passing in 2003. James was very dedicated to working and would work when he was ill. Keeping his customers happy was his goal. James was a great husband, dad, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather. His favorite pastime was with his family, especially the grandchildren. He was a proud member of the Creek Nation.

Probably the most favorite hobby of James was fishing. He could fish everyday and never lose that desire. James had some great fish stories, as does all fishermen. Other hobbies included yardwork, collecting driftwood and creating different things with them, and making shadow boxes with Indian artifacts. James was of the Baptist faith. He will be greatly missed by both family and friends.

Preceding James in death was his parents James, Sr. and Vivian McCosar; wife Wilma McCosar; brother Bob McCosar; and grandsons Cyrus and Wayne.

James is survived by daughter Angela Wofford and husband Tony; sons Anthony and Darryl McCosar; grandchildren Samantha, Justin, Jessica, Ashley, Amber, Monica, Josh, James Tyler, Asia, Jagger, and Kaitlin; 25 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister Evelyn Tophi and husband Donnie; brother Arthur McCosar; many other relatives and a host of friends.
