Born October 8, 1958 in Catawba County he was a son of Peggy “Dathine” Travis Davis and the late Richard “Earl” Davis.
Mr. Davis, a U. S. Army veteran was a disciplined man who was a friend to many. He was a simple man who enjoyed laughter and was devoted to his family.
In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cheyann Davis.
He is survived by his mother, Peggy “Dathine” Davis of Hickory; daughters, Tiffany Davis of Conover, Brittany Bauer and husband, Gary, of Newton, Amber Davis of Maiden and Jessica Helms of Newton; son, Damian Davis and Fiancée, Amber Sigmon, of Hickory; step-daughter, Brandi Queen and husband, Josh, of Newton; sisters, Wanda Martin of Maiden and Donna Wilson of Newton; brothers, Rick Davis of South Carolina and Larry Davis of Claremont; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Faith Baptist Church in Newton at 3 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16th.
