Dorothy Baldwin Strickler, 85, of Roanoke, died Sunday, April 11, 1993, in a local nursing home.

She was a retired Roanoke City School Teacher, was a charter member of South Roanoke United Methodist Church, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Surviving are a daughter, Nancy Arnold, New Bern, N.C.; a son, Charles W. Strickler Jr., Reidsville, N.C.; two sisters, Jane York of Lynchburg, Martha Ann "Boots" Babb of Roanoke; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

A graveside funeral service will be conducted 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 13, 1993, at Sherwood Memorial Park with the Rev. Dr. M. Douglas Newman officiating. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
