Kasper "Cap" Stecker, 84, passed away in Denver, Colo., on Monday, Jan. 13.
Born Oct. 10, 1884 in Abilene, Kansas to Anton and Emma Daetweiler Stecker, he married Grace Pearl Jones on Dec. 24, 1906 at Elida, New Mexico. They moved from New Mexico to Skedee in 1918 and had live there until recent years. She passed away on Nov. 18, 1965. For the past 5 years he had made his home with his son, Gordon, in Tulsa but since October had been visiting his daughter, Mrs. Maxine Wallin, at Denver, Other survivors, besides the son and daughter, include 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren and a brother, Anton Stecker of Clovis, N. Mex.
Two children preceded him in death.
