Funeral services were held in the family home at Grady at 3:00 Thursday afternoon, June 12, for ARCHIE ACREE, age 59 years, 1 month. He died June 11 of sarcoma cancer from which he had been suffering for about a year. Mr. Acree was born in Gordon County, Georgia, May 11, 1871 and came to Indian Territory in the fall of 1897, settling near Gray where he reared his family and lived until death. He was married to ZELLA HAMILTON May 31, 1903, and to this union six children were born, 5 of whom are living: MRS. OTTO BOOTHE of Ardmore, MARVIN ACREE of Ringling, ARCHIE, WINSTON and MARY, all of whom are at home. He was a loving and devoted husband and father, and as he passed to the great beyond, it is comforting to know that he has fallen asleep in the arms of a just God. REV. H. G. WILSON of Ringling in charge of services. Interment was made in the Grady cemetery with REV. H. G. WILSON of Ringling in charge of services.
