Ralph T. Starner, 88, of Akron, passed away on Friday, October, 2, 2020. He was born to parents, William and Gertrude Starner on July 7, 1932 in Stow, OH.

Preceding him in death is his beloved wife of 53 years, Lolita (nee Cooper); son-in-law, Terry Trayer; and 11 siblings.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Sandy (Brian) Struchen, Lisa (Harold) Rankin, Bryan Starner and Jennifer Starner; grandchildren, Cory and Chris Trayer and Josh and Clint Rankin; and sister, Grace Morrison.

Ralph was a proud US Air Force Veteran. He worked as a plane mechanic in the Air Force, and he also served in the Navy Reserves. He enjoyed working on cars, scenic drives in the fall, and listening to country music. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.

The family would like to thank Sprenger Hospice, and a special thank you caregiver Casandra.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sprenger Hospice, 3905 Oberlin Ave, Lorain, OH 44053.

Calling hours will be held for Ralph on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, OH from 11:30am-1:30pm. He will be laid to rest at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
