Graveside services for Edward N. Gunn will be held Tuesday at 12 p.m. in the Arkadelphia Baptist Church cemetery. Bro. Dano Rainer will be officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Stephens Funeral Home. Mr. Gunn, 88, of Bailey, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center. He was retired from Delco Remy, served in the U.S. Air Force attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and will be remembered as an avid reader. He was a long time member of Arkadelphia Baptist Church. Survivors include his daughters, Brenda Roberts and her husband Chester of Meridian, Valerie Haley of England; son, Dennis "Pee Wee" Gunn of Bailey; sister, Jewel Cox of Contonement, Fla.; grandchildren, Wendi Green, Jennifer Reid, Matthew Roberts, Bryant Gunn, Leah Ann Blackwell, Steven Haley, Andrew Haley, Richard Haley, and Darren Haley; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Myrtle Gunn; his wife, Eva Mae Banks Gunn; two brothers, five sisters, one son-in-law and a great-great-grandchild. The family requests that any friends who wish to prepare food to bring it to Arkadelphia Baptist Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
