Elender is shown on the 1850 Bedford County, Tennessee census with husband William and daughters Elizabeth, Sarah Ann, Catharine, Lidia M, and Susan J Beaty and son John W Beaty.
They moved to Montgomery County, Arkansas around 1852 and William died in route.
Elender married Fielding Strawn in 1855 and they are found on the 1860 Montgomery County census with her Beaty/Batey children Pamelia (Catharine), Lydia, Susan, Malinda and Wm (who was in womb when his father died), as well as her children Geneva and Amanda Strawn and step-child Harriet C Strawn.
Fielding Strawn died in 1866.
Thereafter, Elender moved to Texas, as did her children Catharine, Susan Jane, Malinda, Amanda Melvina, Geneva and Martha and their families and her brothers William Harrison, John Wesley and Josiah Earp and their families.
Elender is last enumerated on the 1880 Erath County census near her brother, W H Urp.
Her daughter Malinda married William Hickey and her niece married John Hickey.
Both W H Earp and Elender are buried in Hickey Cemetery.
