Ann Pilgrim Holdiness, 66, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at Starkville Manor Nursing Home in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation was 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Monday, October 12 at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services were held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 13 in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Fred Frazier, Jr., officiating. Interment followed in Sunrise Cemetery in Noxapater, Mississippi.

Ann was born January 19, 1954, to Dewitt and Allene Hall Pilgrim in Philadelphia, Mississippi. She was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Noxapater. Ann loved to cook and enjoyed caring for her many animals even baking the dogs chicken quarters as a treat every day. She also loved being outdoors; working in her flowers or in the vegetable garden. During her career, Ann worked for 33 years as a secretary in the Sudden Service, Inc. Division of The Taylor Group, from which she retired.

Ann is survived by her loving husband Jerry Holdiness and her son Patrick Holdiness and wife Antonia all of Louisville. She also leaves behind her brother Daniel (Beverly) Pilgrim of Macon, Mississippi, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings: Ray Pilgrim, Linda Thomas, Barbara Young, and Jimmy Pilgrim.

Serving as pallbearers are Josh Baumunk, Ben Bourland, Boris Hunt, Rocky Jordan, Jason Reel, and Austin Smith. Honorary pallbearers are Marty DePriest, Greg Henderson, and Brian Leone. Memorials in honor of Ann may be given to Sunrise Cemetery Fund, Noxapater, MS 39346.
