Fred Benefiel
Frankton - A resident of Frankton for 40 years, Fred H. Benefiel, 715 Walnut St., died Monday morning at Mercy Hospital, Elwood. He was 84.

He had been a truck driver before his retirement. He also had worked at Delco-Remy Division.

Survivors include his wife, Dessie; four children, Mrs. Beatrice Decker and Albert Benefiel, both of Elwood, Robert Benefiel of Anderson, and Paul Benefiel of Muncie; and a brother, Floyd Benefiel of Anderson.

Funeral rites will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at George C. Harper Funeral Home by the Rev. Alvin Cavell. Burial will be in K of P - IOFF Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary today from 2 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday prior to the funeral hour.
