Adison R. Beebe, born November 19, 1849 in or near Rome, Peoria County, Illinois. Adison R. Beebe was 1st married to Josephine (Gilfillan) Bell on January 31, 1872 in Peoria County, Illinois.
Josephine Gilfillan was born on May 30, 1849 in Illinois, the daughter of James Gilfillan and Mary (Matin) Gilfillan. Josephine and had been previously married 1st to Orlando Bell. Josephine and Orlando had one son together. That was Charles Bell, who was born c. 1868/69. It is not known what became of Mr. Bell. Then Josephine and Addison were married in 1872. They had two children together;
1. Sarah Beebe, born c. 1872/73 in Illinois.

2. Robert Beebe, born c. 1874/75 in Illinois. Robert Beebe is believed to be the Robert Beebe, who was born in May of 1875 and who died in 1912 and whose mortal remains were laid in the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe, Peoria, Illinois.

Then it appears that Josephine and Addison were seperated, as at the time of the 1880 census, Josephine and the children are found residing on Fifth Street in the city of Chillicothe, Chillicothe Township, Peoria County, Illinois;

It appears that Josephine remained in the Chillicothe and Peoria County area the remainder of her life. Josephine (Gilfillan) Bell Beebe died on 13 February 1923 in Limestone Township, Peoria, Illinois. Her residence is listed as Chillicothe, Illinois and her mortal remains are believed to have been laid in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.

Addison was married 3rd to a Jennie ____________ c. 1886/87. It does not appear that they had any children. They did, however, adopt one son, who in the 1900 census, is listed as a Beebe;
A. Howard Beebe, born April __, 1891 in Illinois.

At the time of the 1900 census, Addison and his family are found residing in North Chillicothe, Chillicothe Township, Peoria County, Illinois, where he is working as a Carpenter;
