Found in The Boston Globe 16 Dec 1980: A funeral Mass will be said Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Quincy, for Paul Barrett, 31, of Quincy, a plumber at the South Postal Annex in Boston and a Vietnam veteran. He died Sunday in Quincy Hospital from injuries suffered in an automobile accident earlier in the day. According to police, Mr. Barrett's car slammed into a section of the Fore River Bridge in Quincy, after the car was struck from the rear by another car. Mr. Barrett was able to free himself from the vehicle, but suffered internal injuries. His brother, David, died seven years ago at the age of 14, when he was hit by a car. A second brother, Joey, died of Hodgkins disease. Born in Boston, Mrs. Barrett lived in Quincy most of his live. He worked for the maintenance division of the US Postal Service, and for the last several years he was a plumber at the South Postal Annex. He served in the Marines during the was in Vietnam, and twice received the Purple Heart. He leaves his father and stepmother, Joseph and Ella Barrett of Florida and New Hampshire; two sisters, Lorna DiBona of Milton and JoAnne Mahn of Rockland, and eight nieces and nephews.

Also survived by eight nephews and nieces. Viet Nam veteran twice decorated with the Purple Heart.
