She was born Friday, February 8th, 1935 at her family home in Brush Creek Township, Fulton County, a daughter of the late Charles Franklin Barton and Lydia Vesta (Beeler) Barton.
On June 28th, 1959 she married her husband of 60 years, Paul E. Walters, Jr., who survives along with her sister, Susan Foor and husband Jerry Foor of Everett
Two sisters-in-law, Shirley Markle of Everett and Janet Feight and husband Eugene Feight of Breezewood,
Three brothers-in-law, Terry Weist of Everett, Robert Walters and wife Patty Walters of Breezewood, and Ross Walters of Hustontown, and many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in passing away four sisters, Joy Ann Barton, Sandra "Carol" Bittner and her husband Elmer Bittner, Karen Weist, and Linda Francis and her husband Bill Francis.
A graduate of Warfordsburg High School, Class of 1953, Lois first worked as a secretary at Kaywood Products for 15 years, and for over 30 years, was a secretary at Westinghouse Flexible-Products Plant in Bedford, now Bedford Materials, until retiring.
She enjoyed working as a volunteer at Old Bedford Village as an usher for the Bedford County Players Live Community Theater, was a volunteer worker at the Bedford County Courthouse issuing Child ID's, doe licenses and helping with other services.
She and her husband Paul enjoyed traveling with their friends on trips with Bollman Charter Service and RVSP trips to many states and at home she enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, reading her many books and especially enjoyed with her family and friends. She will be truly missed for her loving, giving and caring ways.
Burial will be held at Akersville Cemetery.
