ELK CREEK PIONEER
DIES SUDDENLY
William J. Shields, a pioneer who resided southwest of Elk Creek, died suddenly last Saturday night. An inquest was held by County Coroner D.C. Tucker and the cause of death was attributed to a complication of diseases. Deceased was 75 years of age and had resided in this state 60 years. He is survived by a widow and son. The funeral will take place at Elk Creek tomorrow at 2 o'clock p.m.
