Hannah was born in Wights Fort which is now part of West Jordan. The family lived here for several years until water was cut off from the settlement. Her family then moved to Richmond, Cache, Utah. While living in Richmond she met George Henry Stoddard who was a teamster. Soon after meeting they were married. They lived for a period of time in Richmond then moved to Grants Ward near Downey, Idaho. George introduced dry farming to the area. She died in Grants Ward and buried in the Grants Ward Cemetary. She was later moved to the Downey Cemetary.
