Mrs. Ada Casady Found Dead By Husband At Waverly

Mrs. Ada Casady, 63, wife of Fred Casady, farmer living a mile and a half west of Waverly, committed suicide Saturday morning by shooting herself through the heart with a .32 caliber revolver.

The husband, who had gone to the field at 5:30 to get the horses, discovered his wife's body on the kitchen floor, when he returned at 6 o'clock. She was alone in the house and is believed to have lain down on the floor before firing the fatal shot.

According to Deputy County Sheriff Harold Hulfish, who investigated and pronounced the death a suicide, no motive for Mrs. Casady's deed could be assigned.

The Casadys' had lived near Waverly about a year. Prior to that, they operated a farm near Greenwood. Mrs. Casady was a member of the Methodist Church at Waverly.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Casady is survived by a son, Gayle of Havelock. The body is being held at Hodgman's pending funeral arrangements.
