Mrs. Eva Law, wife of M. D. Law and lifelong resident of Mattoon, passed away about noon today at the family home, 22a7 Charleston Avenue. Death was due to acute heart trouble. Mrs. Law had been ailing for several weeks, but death was rather sudden.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, pending word from relatives out of the city.
Besides her husband, she leaves five children. Mrs. J. W. Wakefield of Villa Grove, Clarence Law of Peoria, and Mrs. H. E. Piper, John Law and Howard Law, all at home.
There are also 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Harbrough of Los Angeles and Mrs. Lena Bromfield of Evansville, and two brothers, Patrick Stuckover and William Stuckover, both of Mattoon, also survive.
A lifelong member of the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Mrs. Law was active in its work for many years. She was a member of the Altar Society and was one of the charter members of the Ladies' Auxiliary to the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen.
