Saint John Morning News, Wed 06 Jun 1866: "Yesterday eve. about 8 o'clock, the wife of Z. ADAMS, Esq., Carleton (St. John) whilst returning to her home from the city suddenly grew faint and fell down in the street. Monday eve., of disease of the heart, age 53, Mary Chapman w/o Zachariah ADAMS of Carleton (St. John) and d/o late Robert CHAPMAN, Portland parish, left husband, seven children. Funeral Friday afternoon 2 1/2 o'clock from her residence Winslow St., Carleton. The Rural Cemetery will be the place of interment. Coaches will be in attendance at the Landing (St. John side) to convey those who attend to the place of burial.
