Joseph C. Conger

Joseph C. "Cleve" Conger, 92 of Fifth St., Parkersburg, formerly of Elizabeth, died Wednesday norming in Camden Clark Memorial Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Jackson County, W. Va., a son of the late Gersham and Nancy Lockhart Conger. He was a United Methodist, a retired farmer and a member of the Junior Order of United American Mechanics Rockport Council No. 186.

He is survived by a son, Darrell Conger of Parkersburg; a daughter Lillian Stribling of Parkersburg, a sister Almeda Sheppard of Sandyville, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Nettie Sheets Conger.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Kimes Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Eaton officiating. Burial will be in the Limestone Cemetery at Rockport.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today. The Junior Order of United American Mechanics will conduct memorial services 7:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
