ANTHONY BLOING PASSES SUDDENLY
Old-Time Resident of Anaconda Is Found Dead by Brother-in-Law.
ANACONDA, Aug. 27.--(Special).--Anthony Bloing, pioneer Anaconda resident, was found dead this afternoon by his brother-in-law, Joseph Lepke. Mr. Bloing had worked the night Monday shift, and had retired to his room at his sister's home. Death came during his sleep. Coroner Frank Gubbins was called and pronounced death due to natural causes.
Sunday afternoon Bloing complained of a pain in his stomach, according to his sister, Mrs. Lepke. However, it did not incapacitate him, as he went to work as usual and worked Monday evening on the 11 o'clock shift. He retired about 7:40 o'clock in the morning, and when his sister called him at 5 o'clock in the afternoon she received no response.
Mr. Bloing was born in Hurontwon, Mich., Jan. 8, 1867, coming to Anaconda 40 years ago. He was ardent worshipper at St. Paul's church.
He was also a member of the Mill and Smeltermen's union.
He is survived by the following sisters and brothers: Mrs. Joseph Lepke, George Kruger and Mrs. Val Theison of Anaconda; Mrs. E.L. Conrad, Beuther, Poland; Joseph, John and Therisa Bloing of Hurontown, Mich.
The body is at the Finnegan chapel, where it is laid in state awaiting word from relatives as to funeral arrangements.
