Mary Jean Claggett, 89, of Chesapeake, formerly of Heathsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
Born in Washington D.C., she was the daughter of the late Norman W. and Ethel S. Foote. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James P. Claggett, Jr.
Survivors include her children, Mike Claggett (Becky), Deborah Gaudet (Kevin) and Timothy Alan Claggett; grandchildren, Erin Hancock (Justin), Mandy Claggett, Matthew Wakeman and Justin Wakeman (Michelle); and great-grandchildren, Abbey and Kiley Hancock, Hunter, Carter and Leighton Wakeman.
A Catholic Prayer service will be conducted at 7 pm, Friday December 13, 2019 in Oman Funeral Home, 653 Cedar Rd. Chesapeake, VA 23322. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the prayer service.
The graveside committal service will be held at 2 pm Saturday, December 14, 2019 in Cedar Hill Cemetery, 4111 Pennsylvania Ave. Suitland, MD 20746. Friends are invited to share memories and sign the online guestbook at www.omanfh.com.
