Mrs. Detwiler died Monday at Ransom Memorial Hospital, Ottawa.
She was born April 22, 1896, in the Peoria community east of Ottawa. She spent her early life in the Peoria community. She then lived on a farm southwest of Baldwin for 46 years before moving to Ottawa in 1970.
Mrs. Detwiler was a member of Church of the Brethren in Ottawa and a former member of Ottawa Garden Club, Oasis Club, and Ransom Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, all in Ottawa, and Royal Neighbors in Baldwin.
She married Charles Wesley Detwiler on Dec. 17, 1914, at Peoria. He died March 9, 1966.
Survivors include a son, Roy, Mound City; a daughter, Lois Elliott, Overland Park; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Lamb-Roberts Funeral Home.
The family suggests memorials, sent in care of the funeral home, to Church of the Brethren in Ottawa.
