A scriptural rosary for Henry Dellai was Tuesday, March 29 at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont, Calif., at 7 p.m. Funeral services were conducted March 30, 1994 at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. Joseph Walsh at the Holy Spirit Church. Final resting place was Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Fremont.

Dellai, 74, of 4331 Delaware Drive, Fremont, died March 26, 1994 at his home after an illness of several months.

He was born May 13, 1919 in Rock Springs, the third son of the late Attilio and Mary Rigoni Dellai. He attended schools in Rock Springs and was a graduate with the class of 1938. He attended the Polytechnic College of Engineering in Oakland, Calif., majoring in mechanical engineering.

Dellai worked for General Motors in Fremont for 36 years and retired in 1982 as a utility inspector. Following his retirement he was employed by the Fremont Police Department as a school crossing guard for six years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Local Union No. 1364 in Fremont. His other interests included gardening, camping and bowling.

He married the former Margaret L. B arrow on July 3, 1956 in Oakland.

He was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Fremont.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret of Fremont; three daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia Ann and Charles Stone, Fremont, Calif., Pamela Marie and William Rogers, Gainesville, Ga., and Brenda Louise and Jan R. Collins of Ceres, Calif.; one stepdaughter, Roseline Johnson of Hayward, Calif.; one sister, Mrs. Lena Hatt of Rock Springs, and one brother, Eugene Dellai of Mesa, Ariz.; one sister-in-law, Mrs. Elsie Dellai of Rock Springs; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Dellai was preceded in death by one brother, Reno Dellai of Rock Springs.
