Bobby “Blue” Barry, 81, of Ellaville, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at his home. A native of Tifton, he was born May 7, 1937 to the late Bernie McLane Barry and Mary Estelle Gay Barry. He was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. He loved to sing, play the guitar and the harmonica. Everyone who knew him loved him; he loved to make people smile and laugh. His grandchildren were his life and he loved his family dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Friday, March 15, 2019 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel.

Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Patricia Fuller Barry of Ellaville; daughter and son-in-law, Sundai and Greg Tanner of Ellaville; son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Terri Barry of Americus; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles and Joyce Barry of Americus and Benny and Connie Barry of Calhoun; and three sisters-in-law: Eva Barry, Betty Barry, and Lynn Barry. Also surviving are four grandchildren: Cassie and Jordan Spradley, Allan and Becky Rue, Summer Tanner, and Corey Tanner; and two great-grandchildren: Tayler Fountain and Carter Sinquefield.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty McLendon; and four brothers: J.D. Barry, Edward Barry, Billy Barry, and Jerry Barry.
