Mr. Barwick was secretary -treasure of Greenville Production Credit Association for 34 years before his retirement Dec. 31.
Born in East Carroll Parish, LA, he moved to Washington County as a child was reared in Glen Allen. He was an automobile dealer and worked for Leland Oil Mill before beginning his career with Greenville Production Credit Association.
He was a member of First Methodist Church, where he was a member of the board of stewardship and finance commission.
Mr. Barwick was a member of the Elks Club, Rotary Club and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include two sons, Howard Barwick, Jr. of Winston-Salem, NC, and Milton Barwick of Jackson; Two brothers, Robert R. Barwick and Cecil Barwick, both of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. T.H. Shields and Mrs. Ruth Simmons, both of Greenville; and three grandchildren, Edward H.
