Mary was born at home in Lake City on April 11, 1936, the daughter of Thomas and Clara (Bushman) Neagle. She graduated from Nemaha High School.
She married Wayne Watts on June 15, 1979, in Marshalltown. She worked as a waitress at Shady Oaks restaurant and at Best Western. She was a member of the American Legion. Mary was the best cook around. She also loved to bake, garden, and can.
She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Wayne Watts; children, Tina (Jeff) Crookshank, Tammy (David) Ash, Wayne Watts II, and Michael Watts; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Darlene, Luetta, and Mickey.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; siblings Rich, Tommy, "Curly," "Petie," and Melvin; and grandson Tyler Crookshank.
