OBITUARY: Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Sunday, 19 March 1950:
Mrs. W. M. Young, 75, died Friday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock in her home in Elkhart.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Elkhart Methodist Church. Rev. C. F. York officiated, assisted by Rev. Emmet C. Barrow of Navasota. Burial was in the Elkhart Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Lonnie Starr, Lester Starr, Eugene Fincher, George Miller, Denny Miller and Lloyd Miller.
Survivors included two brothers, D. W. and G. T. Miller, both of Elkhart; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Bell Starr, Mrs. Virgin Fincher, both of Elkhart; Mrs. Bertha Skeen of Grapeland; and Mrs. Sarah Bell of Ringland, Oklahoma. Numerous nieces and nephews are survived.
