Ulice Edgar Summers Jr. died at Sutter Davis Hospital on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at age 52.

Mr. Summers was born Aug. 7, 1954 in Bakersfield to Ulice and Jo Anne (Brown) Summers. He moved to Woodland at age 12 and graduated in 1972 from Woodland High School. He was employed in the petroleum industry by Hunnicutt and Camp Drilling of Rio Vista as a driller.
Survivors include Mr. Summers' daughter, Crystle Taylor and her husband Steve; his son, Ulice E. Summers III; his granddaughter, Clarrissa Rai Taylor; his mother, Jo Anne Summers; his brother, Daniel Summers and his companion Samantha, all of Woodland; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Ulice Edgar Summers Sr.
The family requests memorials in Mr. Summers' name be directed to the Make A Wish Foundation, 3550 North Central Ave., Suite 300, Phoenix, Ariz. 85012-2127.
Services: A celebration of Mr. Summers' life will be scheduled at a later date. Evergreen Funeral Service of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
