She was BORN 1851/1852 in Linneus, Linn Co., MO. Came to Texas as a young girl. Married Frank Anthis in 1880 and they made their home in the Tracy Comm. until Mr. Anthis' death. Mrs. Anthis lived in the Forest Grove Comm. for a number of years before following the older children to El Campo. Of the 8 living children only 6 were present for the funeral.
SURVIVORS: Mrs. Grace Overman, Kyle and John Anthis of El Campo; Mrs. Susie Workman and Mrs. Edna Bowman of Tucson, AZ.; Harley Anthis, Phoenix, AZ.; Mrs. Lizzie Denton, Los Angeles, CA. and 1 son, Abner, of Tucson, AZ. were unable to attend. Other relatives from El Campo were Robert Overman, Frank O'Bier, and sister, Jewel, Mrs. Nellie Thurman and the girl who cared for Mrs. Anthis, Miss Roberta.
