Born April 26, 1908, in McSherrystown, she was a daughter of the late George Joseph and Mary Rebecca Oaster Ackerman.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church and its Columbian Ladies and Parish Council of Catholic Women.
In 1978, she retired from Franklin County Department of Public Assistance in Chambersburg. Earlier, she owned and operated the former Miller's Grocery on East Washington Street and then worked for a numbe of years at Letterkenny Army Depot and the former Fashion Land.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Democratic Women's Club of Franklin County; Farmers & Merchants Go Club; Business and Professional Women's Club, of which she was president for 1972-73; and the AARP'S Falling Spring Chapter 2840. She had been a volunteer with the American Red Cross Bloodmobile, Meals on Wheels and Tax Help for the Elderly.
Carroll E. Miller, her husband, preceded her in death, as did three infant brothers and a sister, Anita C. Myers.
Surviving are a son, Carroll G. of New Orleans, La.; a daughter, Colleen M. Bumbaugh of Fayetteville; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a niece.
Burial will be Tuesday in the Annunciation Cemetery, McSherrystown.
