Patricia Marlene Marconi was born August 11, 1939 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of Robert and Pauline (Abel) McKinney.
She was raised in the Knoxville area and attended Knoxville schools. On September 1, 1957 Patricia was united in marriage to Tony Marconi, Sr. The couple made their home in Pershing, Iowa. Following Tony's untimely death in 1983, Patricia learned to drive a car and worked as a home health aide. In her spare time, Patricia enjoyed flower gardening and cooking for her family. She made excellent pies and always cooked her kids' favorite dishes for family gatherings. She kept her family close through food and love.
Patricia passed away Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Accura West in Newton, Iowa at the age of 81 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Jim, Ronnie, Mike and Joyce; two infant siblings and two infant granddaughters.
Those left to cherish Patricia's memory include her children: Laurie Marconi-Mikita (Jeff LeMastres), Angela Andeway (Kile), Tony Marconi, Jr. and Heather Marconi (Jeremy Williams); 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren plus one on the way; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings: Jerry McKinney, David McKinney, Vickie Burk, Carol Evans and Brenda Rick and many other family members and friends.
The funeral is being held at the graveside to respect social distancing and attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Knoxville or to the Alzheimer's Association.
